Last Line, First Line Edit

Players: 4-8

Difficulty: Intermediate

Players create a backline and get a suggestion of a "line of dialogue". Two players will then step forward and start a scene using that line of dialogue.

At any point a player from the backline can tag out a player in the scene and, using the last line that player said, start a completely different scene and justify the first line they used for the new scene context. This continues with scenes constantly evolving from lines in the previous scenes.

Example

Suggestion: "My hands are just too big"

Scene 1
Player 1: "My hands are just too big, I can't enjoy pringles anymore"
Player 2: "Just tip your head back and pour the can into your face!"
Player 1: "Last time I did that I got a salty surprise"

Player 3 from the backline tags Player 1 out of the scene

Scene 2
Player 3: "Last time I did that I got a salty surprise, so I'm turning down your sea fishing trip Dad"
Player 2: "A boy who is afraid of going fishing with their Dad is no son of mine."
Player 3: "There's more to life than fishing Dad, like rock pooling"
Player 2: "Staring at crabs is hardly enjoyable"

Player 4 from the backline tags Player 2 out of the scene

Scene 3
Player 4: "Staring at crabs is hardly enjoyable, but that's part and parcel of working here at the STI clinic"

Etc, etc, etc
